I’ve reviewed several LetPot products at this point, including the LetPot SE and the LetPot Max, and none of them have disappointed. They’ve been aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.

But this one, by all accounts, is exceptional, simply because I see it as something with a dual purpose. If I want to use it for houseplants, I can. If I want to use it for hydroponics, I can. Or, even if I want to use it to grow seedlings, I can do that too. What truly separates it from its peers is the fact that I can move it around with ease, adjust it effortlessly, and make it fit almost any space I have.

And what makes that possible is the stand itself. Most lights of this quality don’t come with a stand, and that, I believe, is what makes all the difference here. Not only does it rotate to fit whatever angle you need, but it’s also completely adjustable, making it a perfect fit for any setup.

So with that being said, let’s look at some ‘LetPot Grow Light‘ highlights. If you’d like to look at the product yourself while reading the review, feel free to click on any of the links in this article, which will take you to Amazon for additional information, buyer feedback, and pricing options.

Pshh: If you’d like to read our LetPot SE review or our LetPot Max review after this, you can do that here and here.

Unpacking the LetPot Light

You could tell the product was well-made almost immediately. It had a certain weight to it that made it feel sturdy, it came with easy-to-follow directions (although I’ll admit I didn’t use them because it was pretty self-explanatory), it had a near-perfect finish, and most importantly, everything that was promised was there. Highlights include:

  • The aluminum stand gave it a certain elegance that enhanced its overall aesthetic (found it to be much better than something covered in plastic).
  • The base had a nice foam pad that won’t scratch up your floors.
  • Everything from the light to the stand was customizable and could be positioned any way you want.

Features

Just like some of LetPot’s other products (like the LetPot SE and LetPot Max), it’s the features that stand out the most. It has an adjustable range (angle and height), it has different lighting options, and all of it can be easily controlled using the app or remote control. Some of the highlights include:

  • Light can used for both houseplants and hydroponics.
  • Easy to follow directions.
  • Can be bought with 48 Watts or 60 Watts.
  • The light height is completely adjustable so you can make it as tall or as short as you want.
  • Option to use the stand or hang (I personally only used the stand but the process to hang it seemed pretty easy).
  • Rotates all the way around and stays exactly where you set it.
  • Can use the remote control or connect to WiFi for even more customization options (brightness, light hours, etc).

Running the Light

I used the LetPot Grow Light for a monstera plant in the corner of my living room, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I was having some issues with the heat during the day (because it gets pretty dang hot in Mississippi) and I was having to close the curtains to keep the room cool. So it was a great relief to be able to keep the plant healthy without direct sunlight. Highlights include:

  • The light was more than enough for my monstera plant (and really any houseplant I have).
  • It was extremely easy to adjust the stand and get it to the right height.
  • There was no unnecessary complexity in the setup.
  • Plain and simple, it just looked good. When compared to other houseplant lights with stands, this one is of noticeably better quality.

Final Thoughts

Like I said above, what truly separates the LetPot Grow Light is the stand itself. I’ve enjoyed being able to adjust it to fit any space and angle, and it’s a great addition that I know I’ll be using for many years to come. Now, I’ll admit that I haven’t used it for hydroponics yet (as I’m sure you can tell in the pictures), but I do plan to incorporate it into some future herb and lettuce setups, especially ones where I don’t have the option to hang a light. But regardless of what I’m using it for, I’m confident in its ability and versatility, and I believe it to be a great investment for anyone interested in houseplants or indoor gardening.
