A handmade ceramic seed starter designed for hydroponic grow sponges. Simply add water and a seeded grow sponge to create a compact, decorative way to start seedlings before transferring them to a hydroponic system or soil.
Description
Start seeds in a simple, reusable ceramic vessel designed for hydroponic grow sponges. Just fill the seed starter with water, place your grow sponge in the opening using the included support stick, add your seeds, and let the sponge draw up the moisture it needs. As the seedling develops, its roots grow down into the water below.
Each seed starter is handmade from ceramic, glazed by hand, and kiln-fired. The design is reproduced from an antique Baker, Thiel & Co. Creole Mustard bottle unearthed in Algiers Point in New Orleans, giving each piece a connection to the city’s 19th-century history.
Once your seedling has developed a healthy root system, simply remove the sponge and transfer it directly into a hydroponic system or transplant it into soil.
Perfect for starting herbs, lettuce, flowers, tomatoes, peppers, and other garden plants. After seed starting, the ceramic bottle can also be reused for plant propagation or as a small decorative vase.
Includes: Ceramic seed starter, grow sponge, and support sticks. Seeds are not included.
